Dubai’s Emirates airline has officially taken delivery of its first Airbus A350 aircraft, marking a significant milestone in its fleet expansion. The aircraft, registered as A6-EXA, is the first new aircraft type to join the airline’s fleet since the A380 was introduced in 2008. The A350 delivery was finalized on Monday, with the aircraft departing from Toulouse at 16:00hrs local time for its ferry flight to Dubai International Airport (DXB). It arrived at the airport at 03:17hrs GST, according to tracking data from Flightradar. Emirates has ordered 65 A350s, with additional deliveries scheduled over the coming years. The widebody aircraft will officially begin commercial service in January, with its inaugural flight to Edinburgh. Following that, it will operate to eight other destinations across the Middle East, West Asia, and Europe. This delivery marks a key step in Emirates' ongoing fleet modernization and expansion, as the airline continues to enhance its long-haul service offerings.
